Will you indulge me? Of course, it is my blog ...
George Larry Rogier, III (Laran) entered this world this past Sunday morning at 9:22 am. He managed to get here just before church started at 9:30 (which is more than we can say for some people who have been here a lot longer than he has been here. Of course, we will have to see how he does next week.)
He was 6 lbs, 14 oz, and 19 inches long. Mom is great. Baby is great. Grandma and Grandpa are great. Dad is ... well ... giddy.
All you dads who have been here before (and moms) know what I am talking about. It is incredible to see the miracle of new life, and as for this first-time dad, I just can't stop looking at him.
Of course, I have more pictures ... anyone want to see?
The good thing about digital cameras is that the film is cheap and I have 25 more gigabytes on my harddrive.
How much better can life get?

There is nothing like it in the world, is there? Giddy is the word. And on Sunday morning? HA!
Here's hoping Laran looks like Mom, despite having Dad's open mouth. "Stuff Out Loud" is about to take on an entirely new meaning, buddy. But it's wonderful nonetheless.
Couldn't be happier for you!
He's beautiful. We praise God for this blessing which was so long in coming.
Wow!
A new Puba-to-be...
Congratulations. This is wonderful.
Way too cool. Great shots of your son's antics. Congratulations!
Is he your only son (or child)?
Congrats, Larry!
Thanks all ... It is our first.
Congratulations Larry. God is certainly good. I can fully identify with the giddy feeling.
Larry, that is awesome! ! ! !
GL III, welcome to the society of IIIs. Congratulations Larry and Janet.
Congratulations. He is a cute little guy. My wife and I are waiting for the birth of our first child in May. We were expecting twins and lost one in the womb in January. We have already named our son Joseph and can't wait for him to arrive safely and healthy of course!
Are you getting any sleep?
Thanks.
I am getting a little sleep. I just woke up from an hour long afternoon nap. Not so much at night though. It is getting better.
BTW, Terry, I had read your blog a while back. I trust you are finding God's grace sufficient. That's has to be a tough time. I can't even imagine it.
Congradulations Larry. Bro. Tilton has found you at last! I'll be seeing you on these pages quite a along with some of the others once they know I'm here. I'm going to wait until I talk to Joe roof before I dive in. Thought about calling a blog snackshop theology!

Larry,
We have our good days and bad ones. I think that we will always feel a sense of loss, even though we know our son Jonathan is with the Lord. We are still excited about Joseph's soon arrival and have talked about what we will tell him about his brother. Literally Jonathan was keeping Joseph alive because of the condition... I will explain some time later..
Enjoy your son... and get some sleep!
We want more pictures of your son! I keep checking back to see if you've posted more but haven't seen any more. Maybe I've missed them, though. He's awesome, Larry! Thank the Lord for such a great gift. By the way, does he swing a golf club right or left handed?
