A Little Story

There was once a poor man who wanted a million dollars.

He had the opportunity to get fifty-thousand dollars.

He refused because he wanted it all.

So the million dollars went to someone else.

And he got nothing.

Ok I'm curious and have to know what the meaning of this parable is.

It reminds me of when Daffy Duck gave up a million box to Bugs Bunny, only to realize afterward that each one of those boxes contained a buck.

Receive general revelation and you might get special revelation---reject the former because it's not enough, and you won't get the latter.

Nice application, Kent, but Larry labeled it "politics" so I don't think that's what he had in mind.

I think he's suggesting that sometimes you have to settle for a candidate that is far from the perfect one, or you might end up with an "O" (oops, I mean a zero).
