There was once a poor man who wanted a million dollars.

Ok I'm curious and have to know what the meaning of this parable is.
It reminds me of when Daffy Duck gave up a million box to Bugs Bunny, only to realize afterward that each one of those boxes contained a buck.
Receive general revelation and you might get special revelation---reject the former because it's not enough, and you won't get the latter.
Nice application, Kent, but Larry labeled it "politics" so I don't think that's what he had in mind.
I think he's suggesting that sometimes you have to settle for a candidate that is far from the perfect one, or you might end up with an "O" (oops, I mean a zero).
